The Shopkins craze hit our household sometime last year… it came so fast, I seriously don’t even know how it started! Of course, she requested a Shopkins Birthday Party for her 6th birthday. Ainsley has consistently loved these little things and to be totally honest, I do too! They are so cute. I am positive that I would have collected them as a kid and I see her playing with them all of the time, so I am okay with it. When she asked for a Shopkins party, I had no idea what to do and there aren’t too many online ideas, so I sort of just went with what I could find (since most of this was very last minute). Read through to follow the links.
Ainsley turned 6 in September, but her party had to be postponed to October due to crazy schedules. However, it actually worked out well because it gave her time to meet new friends at school and invite them!
Okay, so first up, the most important part of a party, I think, is the cake. This year, I ordered a cake through a local bakery and I sent them ideas of what I wanted. They totally delivered.
I had Garrett hang streamers up (he was supposed to have them closer together, but hey, I just appreciate he did them at all).
The favors were a hit. My friend told me that Walmart was selling Shopkins items, such as plastic cups, paper plates, napkins, etc. So, I ran over and grabbed what I could. I filled the reusable plastic cups with fun puzzles and sticker sheets. (puzzles were found at Target in the Dollar spot)
The best part is that each child got to pick a Shopkins shopping basket filled with two Shopkins to add to their party cup. They were pretty stoked about that. I picked up the entire display from a Target store.
Once again, my husband is a rock star and helped hang balloons from the ceiling. They were very cute.
The Shopkins banner is found on the Shopkins website for FREE.
The cups and plates were from Walmart. The printable labels were purchased from HERE.
The cute straws were found at Target and the little bows were on clearance. The kids thought they were really fun! (I do too!)
I made pink and yellow lemonade.
These are some personal photos, but had to share. It is always important to have someone else that you can hand the camera to, in order to get you and your family in the photos. I am always the one behind the camera, so these are worth a million dollars to me.
Look at their faces while my husband is lighting the candles!
She was so worried about blowing those candles out from laughter.
Ainsley has wonderful friends.
The Donut Piñata was ordered HERE. It was a definite success!
She had a fantastic party and got a TON of new Shopkins items (plus a lot of Star Wars items… her second fave thing!)
I hope this helps you with your Shopkins party! We tried to keep it as easy and simple as possible.
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Ainsley…!! What a wonderful birthday party, they are so much fun. You have such a beautiful family Haley…;o}
God’s Blessings to you & your family…
Looks great! Doesn’t look last minute at all. I’m starting to plan my daughters FROZEN party, but it’ll be at a bounce place so I’m way limited. Seems ridiculous to decorate a party room for only an hr. It’s November or else is rent a bounce house for the party at my house!
Love the Party! Do you still have the download for the banner? Shopkins doesn’t have it on their website anymore.
Thanks!
Love your party. I got some great ideas from it. My daughter is turning 4 in May and wants a Shopkins party. So cant wait to start gathering stuff for it. Thanks and Happy Birthday from the Jones’.
What I loved most about your party was the photo of you and your daughter. The beautiful way she is hugging you, your arms overlap and it just seems like she is an extension of you. I love the simplicity of your flats and her bare feet. The photograph is just precious! The colors are vibrant and the smiles sincere. I too am always behind the camera and have invested in a tripod. You have inspired me to take more photos of myself with my 5 year old girl.
