Idlewild Fabrics: Pattern Anthology Tour

I love supporting other bloggers and creators, so when the girls from Pattern Anthology contacted me and asked if I wanted to try out their new (and amazing) Idlewild knit collection, I said yes right away.  Pattern Anthology is a collaborative group of 4 talented seamstresses and they work together to create patterns and now they have a fabric line in collaboration with Riley Blake.  The knit fabrics are so so soft and I was thrilled to pick two of them.  They have not shipped to stores yet, but keep an eye out!ShareLogo

First up, I immediately knew I wanted to try the Floral Idlewild, which comes in 3 color ways.

Because Ainsley needed new pajamas anyway, this was perfect.  I used the tried and true Alex and Anna pajama pattern by Peek A Boo Pattern Shop.  Shop for the pattern HERE.  I made her the size 6 and the fit is spot on.  It took under 2 hours from cut to finish to create these.  TIP: Always prewash and dry knits, as they shrink a ton.

She said that they are the comfiest jammies EVER.

Pictures in her room mean jumping on the bed.  She has no qualms about that.idlewild3 idlewild2 idlewild5 idlewild7 idlewild9 idlewild8

Night night, sweetheart.

(Can anyone spot the loose tooth?  It makes me smile when I see it).idlewild13

Next up, I chose the awesome geometric print found HERE.  Once again, there are 3 color ways, but I just loved the fun colors here.

Ainsley needed some basic tshirts, and I love the lines of the Banyan tee by Figgy’s.   It is simple, but has a cool shape to it.  Pair it with legggings or shorts for a fun look.  This was also an easy pattern.  Technically, knits don’t need to be hemmed, but I always do because I feel like it gives it a nicer finish.

Once again, Ainsley is super thrilled with her new shirt.idlewild10 idlewild11

Perfect for scooter riding.  Wheeee!idlewild12

Thanks again to Riley Blake and the ladies from Pattern Anthology for allowing me try out your new fabric line.  Best wishes with it!  I know it will be a huge success and I can’t wait to check out everyone else’s posts!
