Keep this idea for long winter days to keep kids busy… make good old sock puppets!
Sock puppets have been around forever, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t fun. Update them with fun socks and crazy accessories.
You will need:
*”fun” socks (purchased mine at Target on clearance)
*fabric glue (or hot glue gun, but if you choose that, don’t let the kids do that part)
*scissors
*accessories such as felt, jewels, wiggly eyes, pom poms, pipe cleaners, buttons, feathers, and ribbon
Simply cut the socks to the length you want.
Begin adding decorations. If you use fabric glue, follow the directions on the bottle. It may take a few hours to dry.
This adorable fire breathing dragon was made out of felt for both the “fire” and the back scales, button eyes, and pipe cleaner horns.
This wacky princess used the toes of the sock as her “lips”, felt for the crown, and wiggly eyes, which make her look unique.
This is an unknown creature with feather “hair”, felt lips and ears and button eyes.
Super easy and fun for the kids to customize.
Let dry and enjoy a puppet show!
