I have sewn a few swimsuits in my time, but the new Cosi Swimsuit pattern is most definitely a must have on the list. Not only is the actual construction SO easy and SO fast, but there are multiple options that will give you a ton of different looks. This will be a swimsuit pattern that I use over and over, for sure. The pattern is 15% off now through July 18th with the code COSITOUR15 at Suz’s etsy shop SewPonyVintage. You can also visit her blog to see tons of Cosi Swimsuit inspiration!
(and I apologize in advance, but I have really been enjoying photography lately, so there are some random photographs that I just like)
I actually made 2 versions… not because I am crazy (well, I am, but that is another story ha!) but because Ainsley genuinely needed new swimsuits and we go almost daily to the swim club. I chose the navy blue and yellow fabric on the left and I let her pick the fabric on the right. Either one is cute, but I am partial the the navy.
Picture originally from my Instagram account.
Both of these fabrics are available at Michael Levine and I adore the thickness and the quality. I have purchased swimsuit fabrics elsewhere and there is just no comparison. I love the polka dot and stripes together. The bow isn’t a part of the pattern, but certainly easy to add!
Probably my most favorite part of this pattern is the vintage feel. The bum coverage is excellent. Little girls still look like little girls.
(we stole our neighbor’s pool for these photos ha!)
This is the “strawberry suit”, and clearly, this is her favorite. I can’t blame her. It is pink and blue and filled with girly-ness. I added a pink chiffon skirt to it and she calls it a ballerina suit.
By the way, I have been SUPER enjoying my summer and after finishing up a few to-do list items, I am going to enjoy these kids to the fullest. I can’t wait! Time is speeding by.
Make sure you check out all of the other inspiration!
Thanks for having me Suz!

They both look great! I started sewing swimsuits this summer and am so happy I did. The bum coverage and cute designs while still looking little girl appropriate are totally worth breaking down the fear of sewing swimwear!
oh! wow your photos are amazing! and so are your models and her suits!! so much talents in one person!!
Both of those suits are really cute! The one thing that has prevented me from making swimsuits is that I couldn’t figure out which online shop was the bet place to buy fabric from. Good to know that Michael Levine is he place to shop.
Both incredibly gorgeous but that pink print with frill is surely a little girl pleaser! I know if my Abigail saw it she’d be begging me non-stop to make her one…I would if only we hadn’t picked up a couple of bargains earlier on in the year 🙁 not sure I’ll be able to wait to sew one up though, think I’ll end up making a couple for some friends!
I love these photos and swim suits so so much. I need to get sewing too….we go through swim suits with same speed as shoes…..fast!
k that shot with her blowing a kiss with the heart glasses?? SO PERFECT. Love them both but I am partial to the navy bow one too-I have some of that exact fabric too! it’s waiting to be a Cosi someday!
Adorable little girl!! I just love the blue/yellow suit!
Love your fabric choices (the blue and yellow is my favorite, but my girl would go for the pink as well) – need to check that ML shop as swimwear fabric is not easy to find around here.
Your pictures are awesome as usual (you make such a wonderful mom/girl team). Congratulations 🙂
I LOVE that blue and yellow version!! Adorable!! Such a fun tour!!
