This project post is a part of a paid marketing campaign with Snap. Although this post is sponsored the project idea and all opinions expressed are my own.
I am so excited to be heading to SNAP (a super fun and awesome blogger’s conference) in April! Part of that fun is being able to review various products and just recently, I was sent a box full of amazing goodies by Amy Tangerine and was told to make anything I wanted. How cool is that? The Plus One collection was the top selling signature release line in the Winter of 2014 and sold out almost everywhere, so I knew this kit would be awesome.
Here is what they sent me:
The collection will be available in five discounted bundles starting at just under $20. You can view them all over at HSN. Bundles include: a basic kit, an embroidery kit, an embellishment kit and a stamping kit.The sold out Plus One Project Life Mini Kit will also be available at a discounted rate.
Right away, my eyes honed in on the embroidery floss because you know I love a good embroidery project. Paired up with the great scrapbook paper and adorable clips, I knew it would make a super cute banner for my craft room.
Let’s look past the fact that the lighting in my room is not great for photos just yet 🙂 I hung up my new banner that says “Create” and think it adds a super lovely pop of color over my cutting table.
I love that the embroidery kit comes with a stencil. You simply position the letter stencil over top of your paper and punch the holes accordingly.
Using those holes as your guide, you simply start embroidering.
I used a simple back stitch for each of the letters. Easy peasy.
To finish off the edges, I freehanded my punches and then did a running stitch. Then, I hung up some ribbon and attached each scallop with the super cute clips!
Aren’t the colors so great?!
I really really love these clips.
I really loved the feather scrapbook paper, so I stuck some in a frame!
The Amy Tangerine Plus One paper craft collection will be available on HSN starting March 24th. It really is a wonderful collection, so I suggest checking it out before it sells out like last time! Thanks so much for letting me try it out.
Next time, I think I will make something with the washi tape, buttons and rub on stickers. So fun!
