Yesterday, I posted about the amazing Sew Fab Sale (go HERE to purchase your bundle) and now I get the fun job of sharing several items I created from some of those patterns.
Up today is the Ethan Shirt from Scientific Seamstress.
An Ethan for my Ethan? Sweet.
As with all of the Scientific Seamstress patterns, it was so well written and had lots of detailed pictures and descriptions.
Look at this little dude working his new shirt.
It has multiple length options and I should have chosen one of the longer options… I forgot that Ethan suddenly got very tall over the summer. The width is perfect though.
The pattern calls for buttons, which I was about to use, but I realized that snaps would be easier for Ethan considering he has fine motor skill delays.
As many of you know, Ethan is the self-proclaimed “Number King” so when I found this fabric over the summer, I bought it right away. I think it is perfect for him and he is very happy.
I did a quick google search and had a hard time finding this fabric.
Robert Kaufman Architextures Ledger…. this was the only link that yielded some yardage: Amazon.com
I don’t know when this happened, but let’s just say it is nearly impossible to get decent photos of a 6 year old boy….
but I have to say that I love the ones I got 🙂
LOVE this kid.
He wore himself out.
Thanks for the pattern Scientific Seamstress! We love it!
And now is YOUR chance to grab this pattern for a teeny tiny price when you purchase the bundle.

Haha, yesterday when I saw that one of the patterns is called Ethan shirt I had to think of your son and today you have made it for your son 😉 It is amazing. I would actually want one for myself (have always been very fond of mathematics and physics and am now working at university as geophysicist). All the pics are amazing, but the pic that you also posted on facebook is wowza! What a handsome little gal!
that is so awesome Annika!!
LOVE how this turned out!!! Your son is such a doll. My Louis was recently diagnosed with HFA, and he is a little math whiz too 🙂 . He needs an Ethan just like that!
Thank you SO much Carla! It was such a wonderful pattern! I bet your Louis is awesome just like Ethan…. it is quite a ride with a new diagnosis. I am always here if you have questions or need support
The shirt is awesome. I need to get that fabric for my son who loves math!
thanks Olga! The fabric is so fabulous, right?!
Sewing for my boy totally intimidates me, haha! The shirt turned out AWESOME, love that fabric. My husband is (well was and will be again eventually) a math teacher, and a shirt like this would have been perfect.
sewing for boys is definitely more technical, but you can totally do it!
Super sweet pictures. I think the snaps are a perfect touch.
thanks Erin!
Aww, I love it! Ethan is awesome, and that fabric is awesome!
thanks Meriel!
Love the Pictures of Ethan…great shirt pattern also!! I wanted you to know that Lark Cottons (LarkCottons.com) has the Architextures Ledger fabric in two colorways…I found it tonight by accident when browsing through their lovely fabric choices.
