I am one of the final stops on the Peekaboo Pattern Shop Summer Blog tour! Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Molly Schoolgirl Skirt and the Molly Blouse….perfect for back to school.
One of the reasons I chose to do this outfit is because of the peter pan collar (I love me some peter pan:) and the piping details. I feel like these details really take an outfit a step above.
I used pearl snaps for the blouse so that Ainsley can easily dress herself and I made the suspenders adjustable for a “grow-with-me” fit, along with fabric covered buttons.
Sometime soon, I plan to make a fun yellow cardigan for a pop of color. Both the shirt and skirt were very easy to put together and took me about 4 hours total. The trickiest part of the whole thing were the cuffs on the sleeves, but she gives some tips and tricks to walk you through it!
Ainsley was very excited when I showed her the vintage desk I bought off Craigslist, so I thought this would be an easy photo shoot. Then, she got completely distracted by the delicious apple I put on top of her books. She wouldn’t stop asking to bite it. I asked her to wait…
And she thought about waiting….
…she took a bite and thought I wouldn’t notice.
It was all over at that point, folks. The apple won.
