This has been a long time coming, but I am excited to announce that we are finally having our basement finished and it will include a giant sewing/craft studio for me!!! If you remember, I already work down in the basement, but it was concrete walls, concrete floor, and poor lighting. Read this post to see more. I did what I could with it, but I cannot wait for heating, lighting, proper shelving….and decorating!!
We just had the contractor over the other day to review floor plans and guess what folks??? I will have a bathroom, complete with a shower down there. All I need is a mini fridge and I can essentially live down in my studio 🙂
There will be closets, walls full of painted peg board, a play area, a tv area…. Can you tell I am excited?
I have so many ideas swooshing around in my head…. but the project won’t be completed until late July, which also means that I will have to put all custom Etsy orders on hold until at least August. Right now, I have a handful of ready-to-ship items available in the Etsy Shop, so go check them out. I will be adding lots of fabric and other ready-to-ship items I have in my inventory. Time to clear out my shelves…. so keep an eye out for a coupon code over the next few days!
Here’s an example of a few items I still have left!
(keep an eye out for that coupon code…. I will most likely announce it on my Facebook Page)
Happy Monday everyone!

That sounds very cool! I am also turning a large spare room in my house into a craft room/playroom. I haven’t started yet so I can’t wait to see what ideas i can steal from you! haha
we are about to sell off a bunch of stuff from the basement so that we can rearrange the space to give a designated ‘play’ area and designated ‘sewing’ area (hubs has a massive weight bench and then there are some large furniture pieces that are just eating space). I am super excited – I am planning on using whatever money we make from selling the stuff to use towards fun storage and of course fabric ;o)
That sounds awesome! We have a sunroom that is my craft room but isn’t the best organized.
