How is it that I have never done a whole post about our Family Room? We spend the most time as a family in this room, so perhaps it is just always a mess and I have never felt like cleaning it up enough to take decent photos?
Either way, I feel like it is time to show this room to all of you guys. I know that people like to “sticky beak” and see where others live and play (or maybe I am the only one that is super nosey and loves to see pictures of people’s houses?)
We aren’t finished with the room, but here it is!

TV area
(I will be showing more of the organization later this week to explain where all the toys are kept. hint…. dresser, haha)
Gigantor sectional.
We purchased this sectional for our last house…. for the basement…. and it way too large for this house, but we have to make it work. It is SO comfy!
Even though we aren’t huge fans of cold weather, we look forward to using our fireplace every year! It is one of our favorite parts of the entire house.

Anyone remember months and months ago when I talked about making curtains for this room out of tablecloths from Target?? Yeah, I did that, but never posted about it. Sorry! I swear I will talk about that one day.
We got this artwork years ago and can’t wait to replace it with something a little larger, but it works for now.
However, we love the tree art above the fireplace. Everyone always compliments us on it. Best part is that we bought it from Ikea years ago for about $20.
Some more pictures of the gigantic, most comfortable sofa ever.
The black dresser was a $100 Craigslist purchase. We love it for storing toys, dvds, and all the electronics!~
(again, I will be sharing more about that later this week)
Yep, the tablecloth curtains in action. I might make more for the windows that flank the fireplace. I am undecided.
There you have it! Our family room…. it is where we spend time playing, watching movies, fighting, napping, hanging out.
What do you guys think? Should we repaint the walls to make it a little less yellow-y? I was thinking more of a greige…. hmmmm.

Love your comfy couches and your fireplace is beautiful!
I love it all! It is both calm and beautiful. We also have a pug napping in the corner at our house! In fact, she is featured on my blog today.
