I love when pattern makers contact me to test out their newest designs because it gives me the chance to try out some different styles and also allows me to give input to the pattern designer.
This is the second pattern I have tested for Designs By Moo. She doesn’t have many patterns for sale yet, but she is definitely planning to add more very soon, including The Audrey Dress, which I made the other day.
It is a very simple dress with a shirred bodice and straps, and of course a lovely flowy ruffle at the bottom.
{Like I said, very easy dress, but wouldn’t you know my machine is giving me a rough time with shirring lately. I was ready to pull my hair out with the elastic thread and tension…. might be a while before you see me shirr anything again}
I absolutely love how flowy and easy this dress is for a child to wear. Perfect for playing and being silly.
Such a goofball 🙂
She still has those adorable cheeks!
I asked her to dance.
She gets her moves from me.
Look at that hair!!
People pay lots of money for that!
I will be back tomorrow to share pictures of Ethan’s first day of Kindergarten!!!

Hi, I am excited to see you on Project Run and Play. My son is severely Autistic and he is the reason I got into sewing as well – it helps me stay sane! You have lovely children!
Lovely…both the dress and your adorable daughter! Can’t wait to see the kindergarten pics too. My daughter just started kindergarten as well. By the way I just caught on to your blog through a link on justagirl and I’m hooked…love your style and sense of humor!
Aw, thanks to both of you for stopping by! I appreciate it!
What an adorable little dress; I love the fabric you chose for it!
Yes your daughter looks so cute in her dress and the fabric really makes it. I made a similar dress but the straps kept sliding off. The shirred elastic sleeve is a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
