We have been in this house for a little over two years now and the Master Bathroom has been a thorn in our sides.
It was a sickly green color with a tragic palm tree border. 1999 called and asked for the decor back, and we agreed.
(don’t believe me? Check this post HERE for pictures)
Buh-Bye tragically awful palm trees!
Now, we are on a tight budget and would love to completely gut the master bathroom and do a whole redesign, but that isn’t going to happen for several more years.
In the meantime, we are content with a “mini bathroom renovation”, which includes paint, fabrics, and new accessories.
As long as those green walls and palm tree border are gone, I am happy. Here is a sneak peek of the bathroom with just the primer on the walls:
SO much better already and we don’t even have the real paint on the walls yet! I will update after the entire mini renovation is complete, but for now, just promise me that none of you will EVER use a palm tree border in your bathrooms, okay?

Well, there goes my decorating plans! Pfft. 😉 In my searching for a house when we move I’ve seen a crazy amount of ugly wallpaper and/or borders. It’s a little scary. I think 1999 has many more phone calls to make.
Ha! I laugh at your 1999 palm trees and I raise you 1970s wallpaper and matching drapery fabric! AND textured grass wallpaper – that has come back into fashion, although in a smaller, more tasteful version! We find ourselves waiting for the full re-do — still. 13 years. But it’s a big house and we did the kids rooms, dining room, living room and family rooms first…
Nice Post about Master Bathroom Many peoples like beautiful bathroom
