I can’t be the only one that despises the preparation it takes to sew, right? You know…. pre washing the fabric, cutting out the pattern, tracing the pattern onto paper, cutting the traced pattern out, pinning to fabric, cutting the fabric, blah blah blah. Makes me want to stab rusty pins into my eyeballs.
So, I am clearly on here trying to delay the inevitable even further. Please tell me I am not the only person that LOVES sewing, but HATES the prep work. If only I could hire someone to do it for me…..Hmmm.

YES! Why can’t fabric come washed, pinned and ready to sew?
you are not the only one at all! I hate the prep work and the ironing. but LOVE the actual sewing and the finished product!
I would do three times as much sewing if I didn’t have to prep. I’ll let a pattern and fabric sit for weeks, but once it’s prepped, I have the project done in a day or two. Though I have to admit, I kind of hate doing the finishing touches too…anything I have to hand sew on makes me grumble.
But not rusty pins for heaven’s sake! As a quilter, I try to think of the prep as a meditation – otherwise I’d probably go for rusty pins too! :)_
I totally agree, especially when it is so hard to get that time alone in the first place without the little ones constantly interrupting!
Thanks for your lovely comments on my blog the other day – it’s always nice to find people who have an Aussie connection!
Alot of my projects sty in prep limbo. So annoying!
