How many times can I write about my damned living room? I am just about at the quota, whatever that quota might be. I can’t even bring myself to post back links because I am embarrassed at how many times this blog has seen the phrase “living room”. If you have a burning desire to see exactly how many times I have written about it, please feel free to find my search bar on the right hand side and type in “LIVING ROOM”. You will be embarrassed for me, trust me.
Moving on. Anyone remember my living room? Oh really? Want to see it again? And again? And again? Well, okay!
Here is my latest update! (since you asked!)
So, we still need a tall floor lamp where the toy guitars are. I just haven’t found the right lamp yet.
I found this really cool lamp at Home Goods. I kind of love it! Oh, and of course, I have my little ceramic birds nearby.
This entertainment unit (found on Craigslist!) is directly across from the white couch. However, it does NOT house a TV! In fact, this is where we store some of our toys! Genius, right? Our friends always ask us how we keep our house so clean…. Check out the unit and you will understand why there are no toys in sight! We simply shove them into this giant monstrosity.
I have been trying to figure out how to decorate above this unit and I am fairly okay with what is going on right now. I am sure it will change in about 5 hours.
You can sort of see our foyer in this picture, which reminds me that I still need to repaint that bench:
Here is the view from our dining room:

It looks great! I love the painted wall. I saw a leather valance in my Martha stewart book and found the link here..http://www.marthastewart.com/274608/shade-and-curtain-projects/@center/277001/diy-decorating#/268418
I thought this was super cute and I am thinking of putting it somewhere in my own home. You could do it in the color of the stencil for just a pop of color. It would be a cute touch to your existing sheers IMO. Since it is only a valance you would still get all that wonderful light.
Holy cow…
Wanna come and redecorate my house for me!? 🙂
thanks ladies! Ashley, I love that idea! I really want to redo my curtains in this room
Notsosimplelife…. good luck with your journey!
Super cute space! Where did you get your white slipcovered sofa?
Thanks Morgan! We actually bought the sofa from IKEA! You can get a similar one at places like Pottery Barn, but we don’t have that kind of cash, lol.
Beautiful! I just stopped by from the tt&j linky party and am a new follower. I love your style. I also have a white slipcovered couch. Love it!
I enjoyed seeing your living room, love the ottoman !
LOVE your wallpaper. Where IS the TV, by the way?

I’m wondering, where did you get the end table with the cute lamb and the birds on it? I love it!
You should move the tall white corner cabinet away from the bay window. It overpowers the window. If you put it in a different corner, you would find it easier to work with the window.
I plan to do a blog post soon so that I can answer some of the questions, but the TV is kept in our family room, I do plan to eventually move that corner cabinet, and we got the side table from Home Goods!!!
I’m loving your blog and your home! I just found something online and pinned it to my Pinterest that would be great above your Entertainment Center. It’s a subtle piece of wallpaper with trim around it in a square. And then you hang whatever it is you want in the center…for you it would be your wreath and ‘C’. 😉 http://pinterest.com/pin/133630313913170101/
