Can NOT believe my baby is going to be FOUR YEARS OLD tomorrow! Unreal. Ethan is such a wonderful, amazing, inspiring little dude and we are so happy and grateful to have him in our lives.
When Ethan found out that he had a birthday coming up, we asked him what he wanted. Well, an Autistic child can’t quite figure these things out, so he relied on Elmo. Once Ethan saw Elmo riding a red bike with a blue helmet that is all he focused on. For months, all he wanted was a red bike and a blue helmet. And so the search began…. we finally found what he wanted. And that is where the theme of the party came from! A vintage bicycle themed party! Of course~
Ready for a crap ton of photos? Some of the photos will have captions, others will not. Figure them out for yourself!
I made their clothes for the party. I made Ainsley a skirt out of Michael Miller’s Bicycle fabric. The lining was made out of a vintage curtain!
Made a hat for Ethan out of the same fabric, but Ainsley ended up wearing the hat more than Ethan did:
Cupcake toppers and favor tags:
Birthday banner:
Pretzel rod favors without packaging:
Pinwheels for the kids:
Cake:
Morning of the party…. Trying desperately to get pics of the kids together!
Blurry, but photo worthy!!!!!
Hahahahahahah:
Cupcakes with toppers:
Again, more attempts at photos of kids. Fail or not, very frustrating!
Only family photo of the day:
Dessert station:
Pretzel rod favors with packaging:
Water bottle with labels I made:
The gifts were so large that I had to use my Amy Butler designer fabric to cover them, lol!
Decorations for back deck:
Way too much food, but I love to have too much….leftovers!~
Ethan wasn’t enjoying opening the gifts, so Ainsley helped me out:
Cake time!
AGAIN, Ethan wanted nothing to do with it, so we dressed Ainsley up as Ethan and she blew out the candle, hahah:
Ethan was happy in the other room:
One of the Great Grandmothers and Ainsley:
Ethan’s new red bike, modeled by Ainsley:
Boxes are fun:
New trampoline, thanks Emmy and Granda Rog:
Thanks for the Jeep, Grandpa Gil! I thoroughly enjoy it!~
Yep, I enjoy the trampoline too! Thanks!
Thanks to everyone that helped us celebrate Ethan’s birthday! His actual birthday is tomorrow and we are taking him to a bounce house. Hopefully, it goes better than his party. We appreciate everything!~

Wow! It all looked so great!! i really love the theme…very sweet. He looked like he really enjoyed himself….so did Ainsley. I really liked the giant bicycle circles hanging on the deck and the fact that you used your designer fabric to cover the gifts. Great Job! Happy Birthday to Ethan!!
I found your site because of the bumbo cover but noticed your post about your son’s bicycle themed birthday party. My son’s name is Ethan and he is obsessed with bicycles too! What a great idea for a birthday party! Thanks for the inspiration!
