Okay, this may not be a big deal in the scheme of life, but in regards to Ethan’s development, this is HUGE! HE USED A SPOON FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!!!!
No, he wasn’t doing it perfectly and Yes, he got really messy, but you know what???? HE DID IT ALL BY HIMSELF!!! I have been trying for months now and was feeling very discouraged. At dinner tonight, I decided to put his applesauce in a bowl with the spoon and essentially ignore his cries that indicated he wanted ME to feed him. He whined. He moaned. He scrunched his face up. I giggled.
Within five minutes, he was picking up the spoon and he brought it to his mouth. We cheered. He smiled. He ate. Rinse. Repeat.
Way to go Buddy!!! Wait until I tell his Occupational Therapist!

Yay Ethan!
Way to go Ethan!!! If he is anything like Michael he probably had more on his bib then he got in his mouth … but it sure is fun to watch and so exciting!
Yay!!!!!!!!!!
This is HUGE! Honestly, I think it was seeing his grammy that made all the difference…
That a boy Ethan! We knew you could do it! Cooper still is no very good at getting any of it in his mouth but hey he sure gives it a good try, he is much better with a fork. I help him stab the food and he puts it in his mouth.
