Ainsley’s 4th birthday party is coming up and she requested a mermaid theme and I have been working hard to pull it all together.
For her dress, I used the Saffron Twirl Dress pattern by Zafarani Designs. It is her first pattern for sale and it is so well written and comes together so nicely.
I made the size 4 and it fit perfectly.
The only modification I made was rounding the neck a bit and adding a bib front. Other than that, the entire pattern remains the same. Super twirly and super fun.
The back has a super unique strap closure.
Look at that twirl-ability!
The attached sash can be tied in front or in back.
Perfect party dress, but also super easy to play in.
Look at that pretty strap in the back!
When I told Ainsley that we had to take it off and keep it for the party….
Please go check out Zafarani Designs and show her Saffron pattern some love!!!
Pattern Revolution also has a lovely review of this pattern up today… you need to go check out the beautiful dresses the girls made!

Oooh…I love that button back closure. And your coordinating fabric is super cute!
pretty!!
So cute!! She looks like my daughters when I told them they couldn’t wear the clothes I made for school yet.
I just love each and every version of this dress. The mermaid fabric is beautiful!
